Siusan and Zig are excited to offer a Gaelic evening of melody and song with "An Irish Night Before Christmas", a program melding Christmas and the grand tradition of the Celts. Zig and Siusan come equipped with a deep repertoire of seasonal songs, including "Christmas In Killarney", "Connemara Cradle Song", and a raft of original songs, too. This show is presented by the duo or the 4-piece band; Siusan & Zig with Monday's Supper.
Three-time Irish Music Award Nominees Siusan & Zig add another layer to their performances by welcoming a few of their cohorts into the fold. The band is called "agus Cairde" and means "and Friends". The "friends" bring some fun and lively elements to the mix by including fiddle, concertina, bodhran (drum), and harmony vocals. This new set-up enhances what the duo has already been doing for years, but gives it more power and a new celebratory attitude that works well in festival and larger theater settings. As always, the repertoire includes age-old traditional Irish songs, alongside new and contemporary music. Expect to hear beautiful vocals and excellent instrumentation, but these seasoned veterans are also prepared to offer history-based programs and music workshops.
Sample song list: Come Home To Ireland For Christmas, Christmas In Killarney, Connemara Cradle Song, Auld Lang Syne, Silent Night
