The Flying Latini Brothers

John & Jim Latini grew up in New York playing music around the family table – everything from Hank Williams to Harry Belafonte, from the British Invasion to the American Revival. By the time the brothers had both arrived in Michigan, their catalog had grown to include some jazz standards, some Rhythm and Blues, a lot of great originals and a good dose of ‘da blues’, and it all comes out in their musical wash.

Twenty year veterans of the Michigan music scene themselves, The Flying Latini Brothers lineup also includes John Sperendi on bass guitar and Neil Donato on keyboards, each with impressive musical resumes of their own. John Sperendi has long been one of the Ann Arbor area’s most sought after bass men – he’s played extensively with such notables as Delta 88 and The Hummingbirds. Neil Donato is a career musician boasting stints in the US Army Band, Hoodang and City Goat. While John & Jim Latini have sung and performed together throughout their entire lives, Sperendi has been with the band for six years, and Donato for two and this four piece unit is tighter than a thumb puzzle.
